Our students who participated in the 19th “Koç School-Suna Kıraç High School Short Story Competition,” held this year under the theme “Trace,” achieved great success by winning third and second place, bringing great pride to our school.

Our 11IB student Asya E. won third place in the Istanbul-wide competition with her story “Tear”; our 12th-grade student Zeynep T. won second place in the Istanbul-wide competition with her story “The Cycle of Escape.” Our 11IB student Mert G.’s story titled “City” was deemed noteworthy and included in the “Trace” themed story collection.

At the award ceremony held at Koç School on March 11, 2026, our students received their certificates and gifts, and their stories were also published in the “Trace” themed short story collection. We congratulate our students on their success in this prestigious competition, judged by Yekta Kopan, Gonca Özmen, and Jale Özata Dirlikyapan, and wish them continued success on their literary journeys. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to our Literature teachers for their guidance and support in helping our students achieve this success.

Our students’ stories will also be featured in the KISACA literary magazine, which is set to be published by the end of this year.
